GSB DESIGN 2224 NE 28TH AVENUE

The unique color and characteristics of wood are perhaps best expressed when seen in company with other contrasting materials.  Sometimes this occurs in the form of stark black metal joinery at points between wood, or in the intersections of wood and stone.  This house recognizes this, using simple but elegant connection details and a grayscale finish on everything other than the wood itself.  As a result, the warmth of the material is brought out and displayed in a more powerful way.
