Horace Hou: Looking Out Week 8

This is the Guiro Art Bar by the Absolut Art Bureau in Miami, FL. This simple waffle structure allows for interesting lighting conditions in the evening. The structure of the waffle system is strong and can be seen in many different projects such as the Metropol Parasol in Spain and our IDM project from the previous year. The simple round shape allows it to stand out as a pavilion that people can approach and the location in Miami allows the waffle to exist as the weather is generally really nice and sunny thus there is no need for protection from the weather.
