Horace Hou: Looking Out Week 6

This is a Starbucks that is designed by Kengo Kuma in Fukuoka, Japan. This design goes away from the traditional same look of chain restaurants and the architect uses influences from Japanese architecture to create an interesting interior for Starbucks. The store tries to match with its settings, set near a major Japanese shrine It is really interesting to see chain restaurants willing to create individuality with stores creating interesting looking stores.
