I'm pretty sure I wrote about Kuma last week, but what can I say, this guy knows his wood.
Kengo Kuma's Starbacks in Tokyo features a unique weaving of wood sticks that references the local vernacular tradition. Compelling and cave-like, immediately grasps the attention of passerby. The wood runs throughout the building from beginning to end totaling some 2000 total pieces.
