Quresh Tyebji: Looking Out Week 11

This courtyard house blends the simplicity of wood with the mass and beauty of concrete. Designed by Korean architects IROJE KHM “artfully incorporates indoors and out into its layered levels for living.” It’s located in Goyan, Korea. The structure is anchored through by the concrete base with the wood as the lightweight piece above. Garden spaces are below while living are above. The greatest thing is how the window openings define where the wood and concrete materials are assembled.
