Acoustics: Project 5 Daniel Gomez

When dealing with acoustics in architecture, the main noise paths that one should focus on are roofs and wall penetrations. doors and windows are also important but when dealing with a cinematek, it is irrelevant. Typical sound paths are through ceiling panels, room partitions, and wood dropped ceiling panels.   Technical solutions depend on the source of the noise and the path of the actual acoustics.

Interior space acoustics are based on the science of controlling a rooms surfaces all through absorption of sound or the reflection of sound through panels. Pre fabricated are pretty limited, but making custom ones is an option as long as the serve the purpose of absorbing or reflecting sound.

When dealing with a theatre, all conditions must be considered and conditioned to provide the best sound quality throughout the theatre through the process of reflection. TO allow this to happen, the room should be free of all outside noise. These rooms should be designed to absorb all outside noise so that the noise being produced within is able to be reflected and reach all corners of the theatre.
