It reminded me of the Metropol Parasol in Seville but of course on a
smaller scale. The BANQ Restaurant by Office dA in Boston has a huge curved
wooden sculpture placed in the middle of the structure. It’s made with ¾” birch
plywood put together like a puzzle piece. The layout of the wood follows the
intent of dining areas. In addition, the light assists it in creating “warm
wood” spaces that enhance the ambience of the restaurant.
