Chandler Archbell: Looking Out Week 4

German design group Open Design has been taking advantage of open-sourcing to easily spread their modular, flat-pack furniture designs for global distribution.  They work with furniture and industrial designers to create products that can be fabricated using only CNC mills, laser cutters, and 3D printers. At the moment, many of their designs have been fabricated by cutting sheet metal, but sheet wood can easily be used instead.

Here are a few examples of their work:
