Jenny Wong: Looking Out:Week 3

This is the Metropol Parasol, also the largest wooden structure in the world located in Seville, Spain. Contained in this four-story structure is an archaeological site, a farmers market, an elevated plaza, multiple bars, and restaurant. It is amazing how structural and durable wood can be when joined together in a certain way. It is no surprise that the structure is not completely made out of wood because it would be hard to sustain. The main exterior materials are timber and granite while the interior are concrete, granite and steel.
