Carolina Tamayo | Looking Out Week 5

This is a unique rocking chair that caught my attention. I found it interesting because of its round shape, which demonstrates the bending qualities of the wood. However, there is more to this chair than meets the eye. The chair was inspired by design research on Autism and the Rhythmic Movement Disorder. It is meant to provide a sense of comfort and safety. Additionally, it is made from reusable material and can be flat-packed like IKEA furniture. It is both beautiful and sustainable.
