House of Peroni by Daero Ra and Adrian Law and DJ: Alessio Naralizia
Neon House is a DJ booth for DJ Alssio Natalizia. It is made of a simple steel cube frame that radiates 2km (1.2 miles) of glowing UV fluorescent nylon string. Alessio performs in this string cube but the design is such that it could be transformed into a giant inhabitable harp. There are electronic sensors attached to the strings that respond to people's touch and thus let his audience interact when he's playing by creating sounds and being a part as compared to just being an audience. The idea of engaging your audience intrigued me and is one that could be used in the theatre design. But more importantly, the connection of architecture and music in his project I think is extremely successful.
