referring to the small slit of valley surrounded by the immense amount of
mountains along the Appalachian Trail. Usually explored in the later season the
Crawford notch experiences hot summers, cold and snowy winters, and wet muddy
springs and autumns’. It is 5,775 acres
of hiking, camping, fishing, wildlife viewing, and waterfalls. Its open from
April to December and is used from children to elderly couples. A wide range of
people come to take a relaxing day off and become immersed in nature.
