The Acoustic Wind Pavilion is basically a gigantic Aeolian Harp. It takes all of the winds that are around it and creates sounds that are amplified and projected without any other aids. Why is it like a harp rather than some kind of wind instrument? Well if you look closely there are strings attached to coverings on the tubes. The vibrations that are caused are what creates the sound.
