Located at the base of Llaima volcano, La Baita Lodge layers wood to create a wall system that includes cladding, insulation, and structure all at the same time. This project brings out another aspect of wood, which is its diverse colors. The outside matches the volcanic landscape with a gray ashy tone, while the interior's brown colors present a warmer tone.
